Green Brook Racing was founded by Joe Patanella in 2001. Joe is a doctor of physical therapy who specializes in sports medicine and is Director of Rehabilitation Services at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, N.J. He is an ex football player,Golden Gloves boxer, participant in over 300 multi sport and adventure races and USAT certified race director. Dr. Joe is also certified in ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUES for upper and lower extremity,in addition to his extensive physical therapy training. Joe formed GBR with one simple idea: create races that were well organized, exciting, accessible to the novice and the expert and most of all FUN! The experienced staff at Green Brook Racing are dedicated to this idea. GBR not only produces its own events, but also directs races for other companies, organizations and charities.
